The active silane components react chemically with the moisture in the air and the substrate exposed to acidic and alkaline environments to form hydroxyl groups. These hydroxyl groups will cross-link and accumulate with the substrate and themselves, adhering to the inner walls of the capillaries. Eventually, a firm hydrophobic organosilicon network protective layer is formed on the surface of the concrete capillaries, which can effectively prevent the invasion of external moisture and harmful substances and allow internal water vapor and harmful gases to escape. It is equivalent to giving the concrete a waterproof and breathable invisible bulletproof vest, thereby significantly improving the waterproofing, salt and alkali resistance, freeze-thaw resistance and other properties of the concrete structure, and extending the service life of reinforced concrete by more than 20 years.

METHOD OF USE

◆ Repair the defects of concrete construction before construction, wash with steel wire brush, compressed air and fresh water, clean the surface float, sewage, oil and other pollutants, and keep the surface dry for more than 3 days;

◆ Before large-area impregnation of silane, first of all, spray test, test area surface agent should be 1-5 square meters, and then according to the prescribed method for the test area core sampling and testing, when the test results meet the criteria, in order to spray a large area of silane impregnation solution on the structure;

◆ Airless spraying equipment is recommended for large area construction, which has high construction effect and can reduce the loss of raw materials; Brush or scraper can be used for small area construction; If it suddenly rains during construction, immediately stop construction and carefully cover the constructed components to prevent the loss of silane active ingredients before curing due to rain, which will affect the construction effect;

◆ Seal gun, roller or brush can be used for construction. If using brush or roller construction, should be reapplied until the surface is wet; If a sealed spray gun is used, the spraying equipment should be a continuously circulating pumping system, the nozzle pressure is 60 ~ 70MPa, and water should not enter any part of the system;

◆ When releasing agent or curing agent is used in concrete, the influence of releasing agent or curing agent on silane impregnation should be determined by spraying test according to relevant regulations, otherwise, it should be fully removed before silane impregnation;

◆ It is best to construction on the dry surface of the concrete surface. When the construction is in the water level change area, the water should fall to the lowest tide level and the water cannot be seen on the concrete surface. The construction can ensure that the silane is absorbed by the concrete during a drying period of 3-6 hours, and the construction should not be carried out when it rains or there is strong wind or strong direct sunlight;

◆ Construction should be carried out continuously, one construction or two construction, the dosage is 300g/m2, and the interval between two construction times is at least 6h;

◆ The absorption process of silane liquid impregnation will last for several hours, and the absorption rate depends on environmental conditions, such as the relative humidity of the air, the concrete mix, the concrete moisture content, the exposure of the treated surface, sunlight and wind speed, etc. The concrete surface may be temporarily blackened, and the original appearance can be restored after several days.
